Today's interview is with a founder who ditched client work in order to work on AI startups. Fernando makes a good living from his AI apps: one is a social media content generator and another helps people make resumés. Can you introduce yourself?
I’m Fernando Pessagno, a solopreneur originally from Argentina, currently based in Sweden. I’ve been involved in design and product building for quite a while now. Before fully diving into the world of SaaS, I ran a web design studio in Argentina for over 10 years. But I was getting a bit bored with client work and wanted to take on new challenges, so I transitioned into working at Envato in Mexico, and later became the head of design at an AI startup in Estonia.
Today, I’m fully dedicated to my two SaaS products: ResumeMaker.Online, an AI-powered resume builder, and aiCarousels, which helps people create stunning social media carousels without needing design skills.
Can you tell us what you’ve achieved with AI carousels and Resume Maker?
Both aiCarousels and ResumeMaker.Online have grown a lot since launch. I actually relaunched ResumeMaker.Online in 2024, and now, with both products combined, I can live comfortably. Together, they get over 150,000 unique users every month.
